Hi all,

As you all know, this year’s Vesak at SBM event is championed by the House of Anurudha and House of Kaccana, supported by the house of Sariputta and house of Ananda. As this is Anurudha and Kaccana’s first time in chairing an event, we sincerely hope that you can lend us your full support to make this event a success.

First, we need people to sponsor us prizes for our lucky draw. Any sort if prizes will do as long as the item is not old or broken. Gift vouchers can be part of the prize as well. Like last year, we will be selling $2 coupons for people to purchase our items. We will be selling three things in total, 1) fish balls, 2) young coconuts, and 3) dolls. Other than that, there will also be two game booths.

Second, the adult committee voiced out during the meeting that they are always seeing the same old faces for the past few years during Vesak at SBM. They hope to be able to see more new faces this year.

Hence, we need your help to inform your members about this event. Encourage them to ask their parents, relatives and friends to come to SBM on the 31 May (any time from 9am – 9.30pm). Most important is to try and get their parents to come down with them as well since it is also a public holiday. In this way, their parents will be able to see for themselves what we do in the temple. There will be people to talk to the parents when they come as well so don’t worry about your parents being left out. (heh) We also need you to inform your members to ask their parents if there is anything that they are willing to sponsor us for our lucky draw prizes.

So to sum it up, we need your help in disseminating two piece of important information to your members:

1) Seek your members’ help by publicizing Vesak @ SBM through word of mouth to their parents/relatives/friends etc. (of course members themselves must come)
2) Inform your members to ask their parents if they can and are willing to sponsor any gifts/vouchers/hampers for our lucky draw.
